  • Very friable for high performance applications such as top fuel.
Goodson stones feature 50% more usable abrasive and much stronger construction, yet sell at prices comparable to ordinary stones. With Goodson stones you'll get longer wheel life and lower-cost flywheel grinding
 
Cast Iron: Flywheels need to be ground with harder stones. Experiment to find the best stone. A starting point is the FGW-57, the best all-around stone for Cast Iron offered.
Cast Steel: Flywheels require medium-hard stones. The FGW-65 is the best all-around stone for Cast Steel offered.
Billet Steel: Flywheels need to be ground with softer stones. The best all around stone ,offered for Billet Steel, is the FGW050-2. It is the most friable and free-cutting, requiring minimal dressing.
