Mahle Clevite F-Series LS Rod Bearing CB663FND

The F-series bearing is a TriMetal™ lead-tin-indium-alumina electroplated overlay applied over MAHLE’s cast bronze lead substrate for maximum performance and reliability. The added ramp and pad thrust face creates increased oil pressure to the thrust wear surface which increases lubrication and bearing cooling; resulting in an ability to withstand a higher thrust load than conventional flat thrust surfaces.

Benefits of the F-series engine bearing:

  • Testing has shown a 126% increase in load carrying capacity before seizure vs conventional copper/tin/lead overlay bearings
  • Increased fatigue strength & wear resistance overlay
  • Higher seizure resistance over a coated bearing with no additional thickness
